Jersey Chamber lunch – General Sir Peter Wall, Ex Head of the British Army
The Jersey Chamber of Commerce May lunch, kindly sponsored by Bedell Cristin, will include a post lunch speech from General Sir Peter Wall, Ex Head of the British Army.
Peter Wall joined the Royal Engineers from Sandhurst military academy in 1974 and read engineering at the University of Cambridge. He retired in 2014 having served as Chief of the General Staff since 2010.
Peter is now a director of Amicus, a Jersey-based advisory business which specialises in imparting military and commercial leadership expertise, with emphasis on strategic planning and execution, leadership development, and organisational resilience. Peter is a director of General Dynamics, the US defence and aerospace corporation, and President of Combat Stress, the UK military veterans’ mental health charity.
The May Chamber lunch event titled ‘The Dawn of a New Era: Implications of the Ukraine War’ will cover:
- An assessment of the Ukraine war and how it might conclude
- Implications for security in Europe
- Impact on the UK and Jersey economy
- The post lunch presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
The menu served on the day will be: Slow braised shin of beef topped with pancetta and wild mushroom, pomme puree, heritage carrots, red wine jus.
A vegan option is available of: Asparagus, goats’ cheese and caramelised red onion parcel, sauteed potato, salad of rocket, pomegranate and pink grapefruit (V).
