Foundations for a strong trustee-bank relationship

STEP warmly extends the invitation to register for this event which is aimed at students, trainees and junior staff.

It will begin with a 45-minute presentation, after which attendees will have the opportunity to network with peers and direct any questions to the speaker in a relaxed, casual environment.

Speakers are Nicola Archer, Praxis and Alex Vincent, Barclays. The topics Nicola and Alex will cover include:

  • Trust 1-0-1: How Trustees generate their revenues.
  • Banking 1-0-1: How Banks generate their revenues.
  • The similarities: Both professional financial services providers, servicing the same end client.
  • Teams within a Bank & Trustee: Specialised banking teams, unlike trustees who often cover multiple roles.
  • Working better together: Strong relationships (phone calls > emails) reduce delays and improve outcomes.
  • Account opening: Understanding the most common challenges, helping streamline onboarding and reduce non‑chargeable time.
  • Bank regular reviews: What are they, why they are important and how staying up to date reduces quantity of requests.

A selection of buffet food and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be provided.
