Estera, the global provider of funds, corporate and trust services, has announced that Ethan Levner has been appointed as Managing Director in Guernsey in addition to his responsibilities as Group Head of Corporate Development, encompassing M&A and group strategy.
Ethan joined Estera in 2016 to lead the company’s growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions and has been central to devising and executing that strategy through a series of selective acquisitions, which have transformed Estera’s capabilities and scale. Ethan has nearly 20 years’ experience in private equity and investment banking, giving him a deep understanding of issues relevant for our clients.
Estera is a leader in the Guernsey market, with a large and growing stable of top-tier clients across private equity and listed investment funds. Its highly regarded fund specialists have extensive experience and expertise providing full service provision to a wide variety of funds including private equity, property, debt and funds listed on the LSE.
Estera Guernsey’s expert teams also provide a range of corporate and fiduciary services to high-net-worth individuals, private companies, investment funds and global multinational corporations.
Farah Ballands said: “Ethan is absolutely the right person to lead our Guernsey business. Having been central to our growth strategy and development of our large funds business – including leading our acquisitions – he is best placed to drive further growth and cement Estera’s position as a leading provider of PE fund administration services in key jurisdictions, including Guernsey.”
Ethan added: “This is a tremendously exciting time for our Guernsey business. Starting with a strong foundation of outstanding clients and talented professionals within our team, 2019 will bring a number of important developments to enhance our capabilities for both new and existing clients alike: implementation of eFront (the PE fund administration platform), a new, high-specification office, and further fund services being offered out of our Luxembourg office further to the acquisition of Allegro. Locally, we continue to dominate the LSE IPOs of new investment funds, complementing our private equity business, which sits alongside our trust & corporate services offering. I am looking forward to working closely with our 100-strong team to deliver for our clients.”
Ethan has nearly 20 years’ experience in corporate strategy, private equity and investment banking. Before joining Estera, Ethan was Director at AnaCap Financial Partners, a private equity fund focused on European financial services. Prior to AnaCap he was Managing Director of JRJ Ventures LLP, a private equity fund focused on European financial and business services and, before that, Ethan was Director in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank, where he advised on a number of transactions in the global financial services sector.
