The culinary team at the Grand Hotel Jersey are looking for help to find the perfect ‘Five Star’ filling to add to their sandwich menu.
The AA Five Star Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa is celebrating British Sandwich Week, which runs from Sunday 20 May to Saturday 26 May, with a special ‘design a sandwich’ competition which you can enter via the hotel’s Facebook page.
Grand Jersey already has a delicious range of wraps, ciabattas, paninis and sandwiches on its menu including a smoked Scottish salmon wrap with cucumber, lemon and chive crème fraiche; roast barbeque ham, cheese and piccalilli ciabattas and the Grand Jersey vegetarian club sandwich filled with avocado, egg mayonnaise, cheddar, tomato and lettuce.
But if you think you’ve got the ingredients for a scrumptious sandwich, the perfect panini or the most wholesome wrap, you have until 26th May to upload your suggestion. Simply send a message to the Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa Facebook pagewww.facebook.com/grandjersey.
On 29 May Executive Chef Nicolas Valmagna will make the big decision – which sandwich suggestion will be added to the Grand Jersey Champagne Lounge menu. The winner will also receive lunch for them and a friend where they can sample Nic’s take on their culinary creation.
Commenting on the competition Nicolas said: “We have all got a favourite sandwich recipe and this is the perfect opportunity for people to see their favourites on our menu.
Ideas can be big and bold or dainty and delicious. I’m looking forward to picking the winner and the serving the winning sandwich to our guests throughout British Sandwich Week and beyond.”
