Guernsey’s Bailiwick Law Enforcement will always take domestic abuse of any type extremely seriously.  They know some people will be particularly vulnerable during this lockdown, so please do not feel like you cannot reach out for help.

If you are immediately at risk, phone 999, or if it is not an emergency but you want to speak to the Police, call 01481 725111.

Safer.gg can be contacted on 01481 721999.

National Support is also available to people in the Bailiwick. If you’re a child and in a situation where you may be experiencing domestic abuse, Childline can offer some advice or support via their free, 24-hour confidential helpline for children and young people who need to talk on 0800 1111 or click here.

There is also the 24 hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge, for women experiencing domestic abuse: 0808 2000 247 or click here.

Women’s Aid provides practical support and information for women experiencing domestic violence via the Survivor’s Handbook and local domestic violence services.

The National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Domestic Violence helpline run by Galop, provides support to LGBT people suffering domestic abuse: 0800 999 5428

Victim Support provides emotional and practical help to victims or witnesses of any crime, whether or not it has been reported to the police: 0808 16 89 111 (24/7)
