Deloitte has welcomed 31 new recruits to its Crown Dependencies offices this year, with 10 joining the Guernsey team, 14 joining the Jersey team and seven joining the Isle of Man team.
The 13 graduates and 18 school leavers from Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and the UK all have a range of educational backgrounds.
Joining the Guernsey Audit team are graduates Laura Fell, a local student who studied Archaeological Studies and Spanish at the University of Exeter; Janki Patel from Surrey who studied Business and Management at the University of Portsmouth; Sonny Neal from Gloucester, who attended the University of Birmingham and studied Politics and Economics; and Shreya Madan from Birmingham, who attended the Bangalore University studying Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance).
Graduates Tara Donnelly, who studied Accounting and Finance at Loughborough University and Marco del Val Fernandez, who studied Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) at the University of Manchester, followed by a Masters in Economics, will be joining the Audit team in the Isle of Man.
Joining the Audit team in Jersey are graduates James Hart, who studied Economics and Management at Cardiff University before going on to complete an Masters in Finance and Emma Newson who studied Politics at Exeter University.
Also joining the Jersey team is Emily Bridge, who has joined the Advisory team. Andrei Menshikov, Tonderai Mapomba and Sebastian Jones have joined the Jersey Tax team as graduates. Emily completed the Digital Leadership Programme at the Digital Jersey Academy and Andrei studied History and Politics at the University of Nottingham. Sebastian studied Geography with Innovation at the University of Bristol and Tonderai studied Economics at the University of Portsmouth.
Graduate Ciaran Nye, who studied Economics and Finance at the University of Exeter has joined the Isle of Man Advisory team.
18 of the new recruits have joined Deloitte’s BrightStart programme across Audit, Tax and Advisory. This scheme allows young people to start their professional career straight after school and study towards either their professional ACCA or ACA qualifications without having to attend university.
Joining as BrightStarts in the Guernsey Audit team are local school leavers, Jean-Marc (Johnny) Banneville, who attended Elizabeth College and completed A Levels in Business Studies, Psychology and Drama; Sebastian Robinson, who studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the Guernsey Grammar School Sixth Form Centre and James Gaudion, also from the Guernsey Grammar School Sixth Form Centre, who studied Business, Physics and ITGS (which is part of the International Baccalaureate programme). Also joining is Darren Manyere who studied his A Levels at The Grammar School in Leeds.
Joining as Audit BrightStarts in Jersey are school leavers, Jake Cruise-Johnson, who attended West Derby School in Liverpool and completed A Levels in ICT, Business and Media Studies; Alethea Hobley, who studied Economics, Geography and Art for A Level at Headington School in Oxford; Benjamin Philp, who completed his A Levels in Maths, Media and Drama at Jersey’s Victoria College; Henry De Carteret who joined Deloitte’s summer vacation scheme last year and recently completed his A Levels in Business, History and Chemistry, also at Victoria College; Kumbirai Chinamasa who studied Business, Government and Politics and Sociology; and Sebastien Charman, who studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at De La Salle College.
Joining the Audit team after taking their A Levels on the Isle of Man are Ben Leith, James Collins and Mateline Pondoc. Ben took his A Levels in Business Studies, Design and Technology, ICT and Media Studies at St Ninian’s High School. James also took his A Levels at St Ninan’s, studying Business, Economics and ICT. Mateline studied Maths, Chemistry and German at Ballakermeen Sixth Form.
Joining the Advisory team in the Isle of Man is school leaver Dylan O’Reilly who studied A Level Maths, Business and Physics at Ramsey Grammar School.
Other new recruits include Anastacia Inder who has joined as a BrightStart in the Guernsey Tax team and has studied the International Baccalaureate – Higher level: English, History and Business and Standard level: Maths, Nature of Science and AB initio Spanish at the Guernsey Grammar School Sixth Form Centre; and Jessica Rowe, who joined the firm on Industrial Placement last year at the firm and has now joined the team as an Advisory BrightStart. She attended the Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre, achieving an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Charlie Hobley has joined as a BrightStart in the Jersey Tax team and has studied Maths, Religious Studies and Art at A Level at Mander Portman Woodward in London Queensgate and Eton College. Anna Rieksta has joined the team as an Advisory BrightStart. Anna completed her A Levels in History, English Literature and Language, and Classical Civilisations at JCG and Victoria College.
