Delimited has entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement with Guernsey Film Fest.
The festival is a two-day event running on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October 2023 at The Mallard Cinema. The event is organised by filmmakers Lars Janssen and Charlotte Dawn Potter.
The festival, which is in its second year, is open to the general public free of charge and will feature a range of international and local films and documentaries.
This year, the overriding theme of the festival is folklore. Filmmakers are invited to submit their work for potential screening and there are prizes for winners in each category plus an audience ‘Golden Donkey Award’ for visitors’ favourite film. In total, around 25 films will be screened over the two days.
Delimited is celebrating its 10 year anniversary and, to mark this milestone in the company’s journey, the team is undertaking 10 activities during 2023, including charitable support, pro bono work, and sponsorships. The Guernsey Film Fest deal fits perfectly into this undertaking.
Justin Guilbert, Delimited’s managing director, said: “All of the Delimited team are big film fans and we were keen to support something within the local arts scene so when we were approached last year for some last-minute assistance we were very happy to help. The three-year agreement will enable us to work with Lars and Dawn to develop the event into an even bigger festival over time. They both work incredibly hard and we know that they will deliver a high quality, professional festival.”
Lars said: “We are extremely happy that Delimited is involved. We feel very strongly that the festival should be entirely free to the public and this support will help us continue to achieve that goal. Having a longer-term commitment to the sponsorship arrangement also gives the event a secure footing into the future and we are looking forward to working with the Delimited team.”
