De Gruchy has appointed Kora Kilpatrick as Retail Operations Manager, a newly created leadership role designed to support the next phase of growth and development at the St Helier store.
Reporting directly to Store Director Simon Youden, Kora (pictured) will oversee the delivery of the store’s retail plan. She will lead the sales floor strategy, coach the in-house and concession management teams and help ensure the store runs efficiently for both colleagues and customers.
Commenting on her appointment Kora said: “Retail is a world where every day is different. I love the drama, the pace and the constant opportunity to improve. I was drawn to this role as there is the chance to combine hands-on leadership with big-picture planning, all within such an iconic local business.”
Continuing she said: “My focus will be on keeping the store running smoothly, supporting the team and ensuring that every customer has a great experience. I hope to bring a balance of strategic thinking and practical action, underpinned by strong communication and collaboration. My aim is to help build a store culture where people feel empowered, and where customers always feel welcome.”
Originally from Tipperary in Ireland, Kora’s varied and dynamic career spans theatre, international travel, luxury buying, wholesale and beauty retail; including senior roles at JJ Fox Trading and Feelunique (later Sephora).
Simon Youden, Store Director at de Gruchy said: “Kora brings with her a rare mix of energy, operational experience and a deep understanding of retail from both customer and business perspectives. This is a key appointment for us as we look to enhance our service, develop our teams and ensure our operations are running at their very best. I’m confident she’ll make a real and lasting impact across the business.”
