Condor has scheduled additional inter-island day and half day trips over the next few months to boost visitor numbers and offer greater travel opportunities for Islanders.
The trips run from now through to the end of September and offer between six and eleven hours ashore in either island with some departures timed to support islanders wishing to attend the larger sporting fixtures, including the Muratti Vase Final and Junior Siam Cup.
Paul Luxon, Condor Ferries’ CEO, said the move demonstrated the company’s commitment to promoting both Bailiwicks and providing options for islanders.
‘We are aware that there is a small, day excursion market between Guernsey and Jersey so by scheduling these in advance offers visitors to our shores and islanders the opportunity to plan ahead. We hope these will prove popular and become a sustainable part of our timetable.’
The 60 day trips are spread across the week, utilising both Condor’s fast ferries and conventional ships.
Timings for the Muratti Vase Final in Guernsey are a departure from St Helier at 09:10 and a return from St Peter Port at 18:00 and for the Junior Muratti, 09:00 out of Jersey, returning from Guernsey at 19:05.
Day trip fares per foot passenger are £34 return for weekday travel and £39 on Saturdays and Sundays. The summer schedule is valid to 31 October and the day trip timetables can be viewed at https://www.condorferries.co.uk/timetables/
