Condor has cancelled plans to resume high-speed passenger services this month.
The ferry company, which is currently operating freight-only services, released plans in May for a limited schedule between Jersey, Poole and St Malo, subject to jurisdictional approval. It has now cancelled passenger departures from 19 June up to and including 2 July.
‘We are keen to restart sailings this summer so put in anominal start date for June in order to provide some clarity for passengers. Following the Government of Jersey’s clarification that travel in June is not possible, we have regrettably taken the decision to delay the resumption,’ said Condor CEO Paul Luxon.
‘We remain committed to restarting passenger services but fully understand the changing circumstances and recognise that the situation is fluid.’
All passengers affected by the cancellations will be offered a rebooking or travel voucher which is valid for 18 months. Freight-only services to the Islands and St Malo remain unchanged.
