Guernsey-based digital marketing agency Clicksmith has announced a partnership with London SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) specialists Position Digital, bringing AI search visibility services to businesses across Guernsey and Jersey.

The partnership combines Clicksmith’s understanding of the Channel Islands market with Position Digital’s technical expertise in search and AI optimisation, creating an opportunity for local businesses to gain a competitive advantage as consumer search behaviour continues to evolve.

As more people turn to AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity to research products, services and businesses, the ability to appear prominently within AI-generated responses is becoming increasingly important. Through this new partnership, businesses in Guernsey and Jersey will be able to improve their visibility not only on traditional search engines but also within the next generation of AI-driven search platforms.

“The way people search for information online is changing rapidly. Businesses that adapt early will be best positioned to benefit,” said George Bett, Managing Director of Clicksmith.

“By partnering with Position Digital, we’re giving local businesses access to specialist expertise and technology that would otherwise be difficult to access from the Channel Islands. It’s an exciting opportunity to help our clients stay ahead of the curve and ahead of their competitors.”

Position Digital founder and CEO Sean Begg Flint added: “AI search is one of the most significant developments in digital marketing for more than a decade. Businesses need to understand how AI tools discover, evaluate and recommend brands.”
