Marketing professional Elenor Bouchet has been appointed Channel Islands Ambassador for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) following a recent regional restructure.
The former Jersey branch will be discontinued as marketers in the Island and their counterparts in Guernsey form part of the new CIM South West and Channel Islands Region.
The aim of the revised regional network is to ensure that professional marketers have an opportunity to develop their networks, skills and knowledge locally but benefit from the expertise within the wider region. Channel Islands Marketers are encouraged to join the CIM South West and Channel Islands LinkedIn Group, follow @CIMinfo_SW on Twitter and existing Channel Islands CIM Members will now receive the latest news directly from the newly merged region.
Elenor Bouchet is the founder of Golden Thread Marketing consultancy and has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services marketing having most recently been Head of Marketing for an independent professional services provider and an international asset management company. She became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) in 2019 and has held Chartered Marketer status since 2007.
Chair of the new SW&CI Region, Claire Bryant, said: “I am thrilled that Elenor has joined our team here in the South West as we merge the Channel Islands into our Group. Elenor brings a wealth of experience and I am super excited to re-engage with our fellow CIM members in the Channel Islands and bring them the benefits of the CIM.”
Elenor said: “The Channel Islands has always had a strong marketing community which has waned over recent years and as Channel Islands Ambassador, I will help to connect local marketers with the wider CIM to provide more opportunity for them to access education, communications and events. As well as helping to inform the Islands’ business communities about the added value that professional marketers can bring to their businesses. We hope that this first event will help to reconnect our local marketers and introduce new ones to the CIM.”
The Channel Islands will hold its first event since the new structure was announced on Thursday 30th June. At the joint event, hosted between Digital Academy Jersey and Digital Greenhouse Guernsey, Daniel Rowles, CEO of Target Internet and founding director of the Digital Leadership Programme, will cover the top trends that marketing teams will need to leverage to be futureproofed and how the CIM can support your development to help you become tech and data savvy.
