Sixteen local charities and non-profit organisations have been announced as the beneficiaries of the 2026 Saffery Rotary Walk.
Taking place on Saturday 6 June 2026, the iconic 39-mile coastal challenge will once again bring together local and visiting walkers of all ages and abilities to raise vital funds for charitable causes across the islands.
Following a record-breaking year in 2025, which saw more than 1,200 walkers take part and over £100,000 raised for charity, organisers are expecting another strong turnout as participants sign up to support this year’s chosen beneficiaries.
The 16 charities selected for 2026 span a broad range of community-focused initiatives, including healthcare, wellbeing, sport, social support, arts, and leisure. Together, they reflect the vital role the third sector plays in supporting islanders at every stage of life.
Funds raised through the Walk will go directly to the beneficiary charities, for specific projects and initiatives helping them continue their essential work within the Bailiwick.
Simon Milsted, Walk Chairman, said: “The Saffery Rotary Walk continues to be a powerful example of what our community can achieve when people come together with a shared purpose. Last year’s incredible participation and fundraising total showed just how much this event means to the islands.
“Thanks to the continued support of Saffery Trust as main sponsor, along with other supporters, every pound raised by walkers goes straight to our beneficiary charities. By taking part, walkers are not only challenging themselves, they are making a tangible difference to the lives of others.”
He added: “We’re proud to support 16 outstanding charities this year and I would encourage anyone considering the Walk to sign up, get involved, and be part of something genuinely special on Saturday 6 June.”
Lisa Vizia, Director at Saffery Trust, said: “We are delighted to continue our support of the Saffery Rotary Walk; this year being our 10th anniversary as main sponsor, an event that consistently demonstrates the generosity, resilience, and community spirit of the Bailiwick.
“The charities selected for 2026 do remarkable work, often behind the scenes, and the funds raised through the Walk play a crucial role in enabling them to deliver vital services. Seeing the impact of last year’s fundraising makes it incredibly rewarding to be involved once again.”
She added: “Registering early gives walkers the time to train, fundraise, and really make the most of the experience. It’s a demanding but hugely rewarding day, and one that delivers lasting benefits for our local community.”
