BCR Law LLP is sponsoring CCA Galleries International’s Summer Exhibition 2021 for the second year in a row, which takes place throughout June and July.
The Jersey Summer Exhibition 2021 launches on 18th June until 26th July. More than 100 artists have applied for this year’s exhibition, submitting a total of 272 pieces of bespoke artwork, up nearly 30% from last year.
All of the submissions go through a rigorous selection process before the final shortlist is agreed. The judging panel is made up of Sasha Gibb, Gallery Director, Royal Academician, Chris Orr, who received an MBE for his services to the Arts in 2008, Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves), painter and comedian and Gillian Duke, Managing Director of CCA Galleries and Worton Hall Studios. The winning artist overall will be awarded the Summer Prize and also offered a solo show at the gallery.
Any of the submissions showcasing land and seascapes that have been selected for the exhibition are also eligible for the Rural Jersey Landscape Award, which is judged by Rural magazine’s Editor Alasdair Crosby, BCR Law’s Managing Partner David Benest, as well as Donna Le Marrec from National Trust for Jersey and Sasha Gibb.
Managing Partner David Benest commented: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring CCA Galleries International’s Summer Exhibition for the second year. Art and culture is a huge area of interest at our firm and we are thrilled to be supporting our neighbour in what has been a really challenging year for the arts. We’re proud to be supporting local artists in showcasing their talented work. We hope the Summer Exhibition is a huge success and we look forward to attending the event.”
Gallery Director Sasha Gibb said: “We are all excited about the Jersey Summer Exhibition. As always, it’s a pleasure to be working with so many adaptable and creative artists both on and off-island. We are grateful to have sponsors that share our enthusiasm and have grown with us over the past five years. A huge thank you to BCR Law LLP and TEAM Asset Management with partners National Trust for Jersey, Rural Magazine and Solutions Group for all their support.”
