Carey Olsen has achieved a clean sweep of 21 out of a possible 21 Tier 1 rankings in the newly released Legal 500 UK 2026 guide.

The results mean Carey Olsen maintains its position for four consecutive years as the top-ranked offshore law firm and the only law firm to have a clean sweep of Tier 1 rankings.

Notably, the firm earned a Tier 1 ranking in the brand-new Regulatory and White-Collar Crime category in Guernsey, reflecting the team’s strong market standing in this sector and joining Carey Olsen Jersey’s Regulatory practice in the top tier.

Carey Olsen lawyers across the firm’s Guernsey, Jersey and London offices received 69 individual rankings in this year’s guide, including 14 rankings in The Legal 500 UK ‘Hall of Fame’ and a new Hall of Fame entry for Jersey Banking and Finance partner Robin Smith.

Guernsey partners Mark Dunster (Regulatory and White-Collar Crime), David Jones (Dispute Resolution) and counsel Carly Parrott (Employment) have each earned new ‘Leading Partner’ rankings this year, giving the firm’s lawyers a total of 32 Leading Partner accolades.

10 Carey Olsen lawyers have also been named ‘Next Generation Partners’, including new rankings for Jersey corporate partners Matthew Ecobichon, Tristan Maultby and Katherine Tresca and Guernsey corporate partners Rachel de la Haye and Andrew Tually.

Simon Marks (pictured), Group Managing Partner, commented: “It is very pleasing to see Carey Olsen achieve another clean sweep of top tier rankings in the Legal 500. I would like to thank our clients for instructing us and placing their trust in Carey Olsen, and each of the teams at Carey Olsen for going above and beyond to deliver the very best legal advice. I would also like to congratulate each of our colleagues who have been recognised for the first time or who have been promoted in the rankings.”

The firm’s full practice rankings are as follows:

  • Tier 1: Banking and Finance; Capital Markets; Commercial Property; Corporate and M&A; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Insurance; Investment Funds; Private Client, Trusts and Tax; Regulatory and White-Collar Crime.

Jersey
