People Officer
Skipton International has an exciting opportunity in our People Services Team. As a People Officer you will manage end to end People Operations activities and processes that support the day-to-day functioning of the People department.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure processes, systems, policies, and procedures are aligned with organisational goals and compliant with regulatory standards
- Working with Business Partners and CPO to develop and maintain People policies, procedures and processes to identify, monitor and manage the People requirements of the company
- Leading the People operations team and providing guidance on day-to-day activities
- Overseeing the efficient administration of the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee benefits, payroll, leave, moves, shifts and changes and data management
- Managing People systems and data, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Collaborating with other departments to integrate People functions with business operations
- Develop, collate and update People templates, checklists and forms for use by the team and the business
- Monitoring and analysing People metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions for improvement
- Co-ordinating People Operations with recruitment, onboarding and talent management to support workforce planning and employee development
- Accountability for Reward and Benefits processes
- Conducting regular audits of People activities to ensure compliance and to identify areas for improvement and enhancement
- Streamlining People processes through the use of technology and best practices to increase efficiency and improve service delivery
- Create, maintain and enhance positive working relationships with key contacts across the business
- Actively contribute towards departmental plans with the Business Partners and CPO
- Report progress on team performance at regular intervals
- Enable the People team to deliver high-quality support to Managers and colleagues and contribute to a positive employee experience throughout the organisation
- Manage and prioritise own workload
- Assist with the transactional recruitment and selection process and applicant tracking system
- Actively source and arrange training and development for the People Operations team
- Manage all transactional People team duties and responsibilities
- Maintain your own People related CPD
- Any other activities or duties assigned to you
Essential requirements
- CIPD Level 3 Certificate in Human Resource Practice
- Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- General PEOPLE knowledge
- Two years experience of working in a PEOPLE generalist role
- Management / Supervisory Experience
