Following a Board Meeting of the Jersey Construction Council, the difficult decision to cancel the Awards event for 2020 has been announced.
In a statement on the JeCC Awards’ website, the organisers said the following:
“You will appreciate there is an enormous amount of work involved leading up to the gala dinner involving inviting nominations, submissions, judging etc and due to the very difficult position everyone within the industry is facing at the moment, it is not felt appropriate to launch the awards at this time.
“It was also felt that to hold a gala dinner in September will be too early for the industry after coming out of a very unsettling period of time. We want you all to concentrate on your business and we are planning something special for 2021 when we hope we will all truly be able to celebrate.
“This is the first time the awards have had to be cancelled and we are confident that we will have a 2021 event to beat all others!”
