Bowel Cancer Guernsey has announced its new sponsorship of the Guernsey FC’s shorts.
As part of this partnership, the charity’s impactful logo will be prominently displayed across the back of the shorts as a way of raising awareness of the cancer.
Both the men’s and women’s home and away kits will feature these newly sponsored shorts, which will make their debut on 11th September. This collaboration not only aims to raise awareness but also highlights the importance of early detection and how an active life can help prevent bowel cancer.
Anne Brouard, Chair of Bowel Cancer Guernsey, said: “We’re proud to support Guernsey FC. One key measure in reducing the risk of bowel cancer is to stay active, and this is something we talk about a lot in our awareness campaign. This sponsorship is a significant step towards raising further awareness while supporting the local sports community.
“The aptly placed logo on the back of the shorts serves as a reminder for everyone: ‘Don’t sit on it, sort it.’ If anyone notices any new symptoms (as described on the charity’s website), I’d encourage you to consult a doctor.”
Nic Legg, Director and Communications Manager of Guernsey FC, said: “Guernsey Football Club is delighted to be partnering with Bowel Cancer Guernsey to help raise awareness and increase knowledge within the Bailiwick and beyond. Both our teams will be proudly sporting the charity’s logo to help spread the message and hopefully make a positive change in our community.”
