Blue Islands has taken over routes from Jersey to Birmingham and Jersey to Exeter following the collapse of its franchise partner, Flybe.
The year-round services will commence on Wednesday 11 March and will be bookable at the newly restored website www.blueislands.com. Passengers can also book by calling 0203 7443689 between 8am and 8pm.
‘We are delighted at the announcement that Blue Islands will be flying from Jersey to Birmingham and Exeter. As a Channel Islands-based airline, Blue Islands share our confidence in the strength of the Jersey market. We are really pleased that they have acted so quickly to add these routes,’ said Matt Thomas, CEO of Ports of Jersey.
The routes were previously operated by Flybe, which went into administration last week putting 2,400 jobs at risk and causing travel chaos across Europe.
Any Blue Islands flights booked through Flybe, which depart from 10 March onwards, will no longer be valid and will have to be rebooked.
Customers should refer to the Civil Aviation Authority website for information on refunds, or contact the credit card company that was used for payment.
