Blue Islands’ new frequent flyer programme ‘Blue Skies Club’ has got off to a flying start, with over 1,000 members joining in its first two weeks.
Blue Skies Club is a contemporary take on traditional airline loyalty programmes. Its rules are designed to be simple and straight forward, making reward flights easy to achieve and with no surprise charges when you go to book.
Commenting on the popularity of Blue Skies Club, Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said: “Many of our customers fly regularly and we wanted to thank them for their loyalty with a simplified reward programme that makes it easy to earn flights across the Blue Islands network. That’s why we are absolutely delighted with the initial response the programme has received. The level of sign-ups is beyond our expectations”.
Some of the key features of the programme are:
- Blue Skies Points are earned on every one way flight booked
- All destinations require the same amount of Blue Skies Points to book
- There is a simple £20 contribution to taxes and charges per passenger per one way flight
Blue Skies Club membership is free and customers can join here.
Rob concluded: “In addition to the Blue Skies Club, our frequent travellers are also welcoming our new approach to fare choices. We have simplified down to two fare types: Blue Fly and Blue Plus. Both include 23kg hold luggage allowance as standard, but Blue Plus also includes additional features such as Missed Flight Protection, Advanced Seat Allocation and Get Home Early flexibility; which we think our frequent travellers will find useful. We are determined to live-up to our tagline – The Welcome Difference”.
