Local PR agency, Black Vanilla is hosting its annual student work experience event from 15th to 17th July.
This is the fourth event the agency has hosted for students and graduates who want to learn about PR, communications, content creation, social media and events. The workshop was originally conceived in response to a high number of students requesting work experience and the agency’s desire to support the future of the industry.
Students will gain practical insights into the creative and journalistic sectors and have the chance to put these skills into practice. The workshop will include interactive sessions led by Black Vanilla’s PR and events teams, the local media and a range of the agency’s event suppliers and creative collaborators through various panels and guest speakers.
The event will focus on reputation management, media relations, social media, copywriting and content creation. Students will also learn the process of creating an island-wide PR campaign and use these skills to implement their own campaigns, concluding in a presentation.
Chloe Chescoe, Senior Account Manager at Black Vanilla, said: “We look forward to welcoming students and graduates to this successful event every year. Our team has a wealth of experience that will help guide attendees and give real insight into working in the PR and events industries.
“Those attending will be the future of our industry and we want to arm them with the skills and knowledge necessary to kick-start their careers. It is so important to provide a platform for students to gain insight into this constantly evolving sector, and we look forward to seeing everyone there.”
