Employees in JTC’s Jersey office have raised almost £7,000 to support the work of Autism Jersey.
The fundraising effort formed part of institutional and private client services firm JTC’s Group-wide ‘Maximising Potential’ initiative, which saw more than 1,000 employees across 20 locations undertake fundraising activities towards the end of 2021, aimed at supporting local educational charities.
In raising a total of £6,811, the team in Jersey raised the most funds of all the firm’s jurisdictions, with employees organising or taking part in a range of activities including a dress for your day initiative, a Bake Off and Sale and a raffle.
In total, the initiative saw more than £86,000 raised for worthy causes around the world, through the combination of an original donation by JTC, employee fundraising and JTC’s corporate matching scheme. Donations are now being used to support specific regional initiatives and projects undertaken by educational charities, selected by employees in those locations.
The funds raised by the JTC team in Jersey will support Autism Jersey’s diverse program of activities for individuals and families affected by autism.
Chris Dunne, CEO of Autism Jersey said: “Autism Jersey works with and supports a broad cross section of children, adults and families and I am very touched that the team at JTC have not only chosen us as their charity for this initiative but managed to raise a significant sum for us too. The funds will be vital in implementing our program of activities that we provide free to individuals and families, which we know make a real difference in their lives.”
Wendy Holley, COO, JTC, added: “I’m thrilled that the ‘Maximising Potential’ initiative has been such a great success. Our employees were not only generous with their giving, but their time too, and this spirit of working ‘together’ to achieve more is fundamental to our culture. It’s important to JTC that we provide support for children and educational causes, particularly in the communities in which we operate.
“Our support will not stop there as our teams are continuing to work with their chosen charities by building lasting relationships to enable children around the world reach their potential.”
