Aurigny has launched a weekly prize draw to encourage customers to choose vouchers instead of refunds for cancelled fights.
The airline currently offers passengers the option of their money back or a credit voucher for any bookings cancelled because of the coronavirus crisis. However, it is hoping that its new prize draw will incentivise customers to choose the latter.
Every credit voucher number issued since 12 March – the date the States of Guernsey advised against all but essential travel – will be entered into a weekly draw. Several winning vouchers will be randomly selected and the the holders of these vouchers will win another voucher up to the same monetary value.
‘Like other airlines we have been greatly affected by the Coronavirus and while we are offering refunds for cancelled flights, we hope that our customers will choose to accept vouchers for cancelled flights and in doing so help support their community airline,’ said Mark Darby, Aurigny CEO.
The prize draw will take place every Friday, for an initial period of six weeks, starting on 15 May. The draw video will be posted on YouTube and Facebook and the winning numbers will also be published on social media and the Aurigny website on the day of the draw.
