Aurigny has cancelled all scheduled flights up until the end of August, with the exception of lifeline services to Alderney and Southampton.
The decision has been made in light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis and Guernsey’s lockdown exit plan. According to the published plan, unrestricted travel outside the Bailiwick is unlikely to occur until a vaccine available or Covid-19 is assessed to no longer pose a significant threat to islanders’ health.
‘As ever, Aurigny’s main priority is the well-being of its customers and staff. We would especially like to thank those staff working in our call centre who have dealt with an unprecedented number of calls due to exceptional circumstances and are working through these changes with our customers,’ the airline said in a statement.
Customers who have their flight cancelled or changed will be contacted and advised of the available options.
