Channel Eye has joined forces with Royston Guest, leading Business Growth Coach and CEO/Founder of Pathways Global, in our series, ‘Ask the Business Coach’.
Time is one of our most valuable resources, yet it is often the one we manage the least effectively. Mastering your time can transform the way you work and live.
Managing your time wisely is not just helpful; it is essential for productivity, success, and peace of mind.
Three key takeaways
- Don’t focus on being busy, focus on being productive.
- What is worthy of your time?
- Prioritise the priorities.
Episode timestamps
- [0.48] Time is one of your most precious commodities; once it’s gone, it’s gone. You cannot get it back. So, the key question is, how effective are you at managing your time trade-offs? I.e. what you spend your time doing versus not doing.
- [2.22] Be mindful of the language you use when discussing time. If you run a programme, ‘I am always busy’, you will always be busy, as you have subconsciously programmed your brain to be prone to being busy.
- [5.00] Ask what is worthy of your time, relative to your role, impact, and value you can add. Are you spending your time wisely?
- If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority; prioritise the priorities! Every day, identify the top three things you can deliver that day that will have the most significant impact, and only you can do (with minimal input from others).
