Appleby Jersey is headline sponsorship of Chirpy’s Cricket Club, it has been announced.

The sponsorship will support the club’s senior teams, its long-established youth academy and the charitable work delivered through Chirpy’s Foundation.

The partnership represents a significant investment in grassroots and community cricket in Jersey, strengthening a club-led model that uses cricket to develop skills, confidence and opportunity for young people across the island.

James Gaudin, Managing Partner at Appleby Jersey, said: “Appleby is proud to support Chirpy’s Cricket Club and the wider work it does across Jersey. The club has created something special – competitive, inclusive and genuinely community-focused. Through the Academy and Foundation, Chirpy’s is opening cricket up to more young people and we’re delighted to play a part in supporting that journey.”

Founded in 2017, Chirpy’s Cricket Club has grown into one of Jersey’s most progressive cricket organisations, delivering competitive senior cricket alongside a junior academy programme for children from Year 2 to Year 10. Building on this success, Chirpy’s Cricket Club was established to widen access to the game, particularly for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate.

In July 2025, Appleby colleagues volunteered alongside Chirpy’s to help host a fundraising dinner featuring former England cricketer Adam Hollioake, raising thousands of pounds to support junior cricket and outreach programmes.

James Caunt, Founder/Director of Cricket at Chirpy’s Cricket Club, said: “We are incredibly proud and grateful to have Appleby as our new headline sponsor. Their commitment goes far beyond financial support, it’s rooted in genuine community spirit and a shared belief that cricket should be open to every child, regardless of background or circumstance.

“With Appleby alongside us, we are excited to grow our programmes, reach more children and continue using cricket as a force for confidence, inclusion and opportunity. This partnership truly feels like the start of an exciting new innings for Chirpy’s and we are extremely thankful and appreciative for the support Appleby are providing and super excited to be working with them moving forward.”
