Offshore law firm Appleby has welcomed Stuart Tyler and Mark Brady as Partner and Group Partner in the Guernsey and Jersey offices respectively, further strengthening their corporate teams.
In Appleby’s Guernsey office, Jeremy Berchem has been appointed as Office Managing Group Partner.
Advocate Stuart Tyler, who also takes up the position of Group Head within the Corporate department in Guernsey, joins Appleby after working in Guernsey for the last fourteen years, having previously been a partner at Stephenson Harwood LLP in London. Stuart specialises in fund raising, acquisitions, debt finance, financial services regulatory matters, insolvency, shareholder arrangements, insurance structures and the commercial aspects of trusts and foundations law.
Stuart commented: “I am delighted to join a growing team in Guernsey and build on the excellent reputation they have in the financial services sector.”
Mark Brady was in private practice in Scotland, before working in-house at Deutsche Bank and latterly with Standard Life Aberdeen plc. Mark specialises in Banking & Finance, with a particular interest in FinTech.

Stuart joins existing Guernsey Partners Jeremy Berchem, Richard Field, Richard Sheldon and Anthony Williams.
Mark joins existing Jersey Partners Wendy Benjamin, Michael Cushing, Jared Dann, David Dorgan, James Gaudin, Tim Hart, Michael O’Connell, Fraser Robertson and Andrew Weaver.
