Black Vanilla’s new logo and updated website reflect the agency’s ongoing growth and confidence in the role that public relations will continue to play in business, the public sector and the wider community.
“Strategic communications and reputation management play a critical role in helping organisations connect with their customers and stakeholders. 2020 has highlighted the need for clear and authentic messages, both to internal and external audiences. Our new brand reflects our sophisticated, intelligent services and our ‘future-facing’ approach,” said Nichole Culverwell, Black Vanilla’s Director.
Black Vanilla enlisted local creative agency Two Degrees North to create a sleek new corporate yet approachable brand identity. The new, cleaner typeface modernises the brand while the apostrophe adds a playful element that gives a nod to Black Vanilla’s communications services. Updating rather than radically changing the brand colours will help to give continuity to the agency’s 11-year history in the local industry.
Chris Griffiths, Creative Director of Two Degrees North, said: “We were delighted to be asked to work on a new identity for Black Vanilla who required a distinct departure from their existing brand in order to reflect the business’s evolution. Thanks to a thorough and thoughtful creative brief and close collaboration with the team, we believe we have created a modern yet timeless brand which goes a long way to conveying how Black Vanilla ‘helps clients to tell their stories’.”
As part of the new design, Two Degrees North created four new service icons to represent the agency’s offering in public relations, creative content, event management and communications training.
Nichole Culverwell concluded: “The way we communicate is constantly changing but the fundamentals of our role in reputation management are unwavering, and that underpins all of our work.”
