After nine years at Britannia Place, and to cater for its increasing number of staff following substantial business growth, facilities management company AFM, has invested in new offices at CTV House, La Pouquelaye.

The new offices, designed and managed by AFM’s own projects, mechanical and electrical teams, illustrate AFM’s growth and investment for the future. The move will allow the company to accommodate a total of 61 office-based employees in Jersey, compared to Britannia Place, which could only accommodate 40 employees.

The move will also improve the wellbeing of staff, through new features such as, a kitchen with seating and breakout areas, extended washrooms and showers, integrated stores, two extra meeting rooms and a large board room for training and development.

“Our business has grown significantly over the last nine years with multiple new service lines, together with a support team and infrastructure to match. Our colleagues have worked incredibly hard to build the business and therefore, for our team, our clients and the future of our business, it was the right time to invest in new premises. Our projects, mechanical and electrical teams have done a fantastic job refurbishing the offices and we are excited to take the business to the next stage of its development,” said AFM’s managing director, Mark Edgar.

To actively reduce its carbon footprint, AFM has installed state of the art technology, including an energy efficient hybrid air-conditioning system and light level sensing system, the light sensing detects ambient light levels and adjusts to provide an optimum level of lighting irrespective of outside conditions. A fingerprint recognition door entry system has also been fitted.

Staff at AFM are delighted with the new offices.

“The new office provides a much improved environment and platform for the now unified divisions of the business to support the delivery of AFM’s services. Collaborative working is easily achieved in a comfortable environment with room to grow as AFM continues to develop its customer base. It’s simply a great place to work,” said Ian Spry, AFM’s commercial manager.
