Jamie Orchard has been promoted to partner in Viberts after four years at the firm. Jamie forms part of Viberts’ growing and experienced Family Law department. The appointment demonstrates Viberts’ continuing growth and expertise in this area.
It also reflects the impact that Jamie has made on family law in Jersey as well as the positive impact and service that he provides to his clients.
Jamie primarily deals with high net worth divorce matters involving complex financial issues such as overseas assets, offshore companies and trusts. He also deals with private children law cases including cross jurisdictional children’s cases (including Hague convention proceedings) as well as complicated child maintenance issues.
Jamie has successfully appeared a number of times in the Court of Appeal as well as having involvement in cases in the Privy Council which is very unusual for an Advocate of his age.

Jamie joined the firm as an advocate in 2014, and he was promoted to Associate in 2016 as a result of his impressive contribution to the family law team.
Jamie graduated from Exeter University with a 2:1 in Law and also achieved a distinction in his LPC at Guildford College of Law.
