Jersey Hospice Care’s annual Christmas Trees Collection and Recycling has raised more than £45,000.
Over the course of the weekend, our dedicated volunteers collected more than 2,000 trees from around the island.
Jersey Hospice Carehas thanked all of the volunteers and businesses involved, including sponsors Rathbones, the chipping stations, the team at Green Waste, everyone who signed up and donated, and everyone in between.
Scott Douglas, Events Manager, said: “This scheme is a big staple in the calendar – not just for us, but for the community – which is why we get such enthusiasm from everyone involved.
We’re thrilled we’ve raised in excess of £45,000 – that covers a month’s worth of care on our In Patient Unit, so it really does make a huge difference.”
