Howden has brought two of its Guernsey businesses together at a new shared office in St Peter Port.
SPF Private Clients and Howden Channel Islands Insurance Brokers have relocated to Harbour House on South Esplanade, moving from Berthelot Street and Lefebvre Street respectively.
The move ends almost 30 years at Berthelot Street for SPF, which has handled more than £2 billion in mortgage transactions since it began operating in 1997. The mortgage broker became part of Howden in 2022.
The shared office brings together services including mortgages, commercial debt, life insurance, inheritance tax planning, private and commercial insurance, and corporate risk advice.
Henry Mowbray, Managing Director, Head of Channel Islands, Broking, said: “Guernsey is a relationship-driven market, and local knowledge matters. Our new office brings our teams together while giving clients easier access to Howden’s specialist expertise and insurance markets beyond the island. It gives us a stronger platform to deliver the best of both: trusted local advice backed by a global network.”
Pierre Blampied, Managing Director, SPF Private Clients (Channel Islands), said: “After almost 30 years in Berthelot Street, this marks an exciting new chapter for SPF. The business has grown significantly since 1997, but the personal relationships we have built with clients remain at the heart of what we do. Moving to Harbour House into more modern offices that continue to be in a convenient location for our valued clients.”
