Mourant Senior Associate, Sally French, has won a silver award in the ‘Woman of the Year – Rising Star’ category at the CityWealth Powerwomen Awards.
The winners were announced in London at a gala dinner attended by business leaders from the world of private wealth. The announcement follows Sally’s entry to the Guernsey Bar, just over two years ago: since this time she has made over 70 court appearances, developed the firm’s Corporate Crime offering and become well known as a seminar speaker.
The CityWealth Powerwomen Awards spotlight individuals and companies who support care giving responsibilities, female leadership and celebrate diversity, and who maximise the potential of women in leadership roles within the wealth sector to create a platform for best practice to collectively exercise positive social influence in their industry.
Mourant Guernsey Senior Partner, Robert Shepherd, said: “Sally is an excellent lawyer who demonstrates strong technical ability, a proactive; client focused approach and consistently goes above and beyond to support others in a professional and personable manner. As a firm that prides itself on career progression and building relationships, we are delighted that our rising star Sally has been recognised at the CityWealth Powerwomen Awards.”
On winning the award, Sally said: “I’m so pleased to have won. Being part of such a supportive firm has enabled me to continue to tackle challenges, develop my approach and support others.”
