The Productivity Grant fund has now closed to new applications following strong demand from local businesses, while all other sections of the Better Business Grant remain open for applications.

Since it was launched in March last year, the Productivity Grant has supported a wide range of local businesses to invest in productivity improvements, with high levels of interest from across the island. The scheme requires matched funding from successful applicants, helping to drive meaningful business activity and support wider economic growth.

Further details on the impact and uptake of the grant will be shared later in the summer.

Jersey Business has provided expert guidance and support to businesses throughout the application process helping them identify opportunities, develop plans and maximise the impact of their investment.

Businesses are encouraged to explore the remaining Better Business Grant opportunities now, while funding is still available in 2026:

  • Skills Development Grants
  • Visitor Economy Development Grants
  • Apprenticeship Grants

These grants continue to offer practical support for businesses looking to develop skills, invest in future talent and enhance productivity in the visitor economy.

Jennie Smith (pictured), Head of Business Support at Jersey Business, said: “The strong response to the Productivity Grant shows the confidence local businesses have to keep investing in their future, and it is encouraging to see that support translating into real economic activity across the island. While this element is now closed to new applications, there are still other opportunities available through the Better Business Grant, and we would encourage businesses explore what is still be available to them.”
