Following a three-month recruitment process, Guernsey Finance has appointed two new non-executive members to its Board of Directors – Glen Tonks and Deputy Rhona Humphreys.
The pair have extensive leadership, governance and financial services experience, which will contribute valuable insights into the agency’s strategic direction.
Glen Tonks (pictured) , Country Head of UBS in Guernsey and Chair of the Institute of Directors Guernsey Branch, brings nearly 30 years of international financial services industry experience across the Channel Islands, Asia and Australasia. His financial services experience includes governance, strategic transformation, culture building and innovation. Glen joins the Board as a further independent director.
Deputy Rhona Humphreys joins the Board as the representative of the Committee for Economic Development. With over three decades of leadership and board experience, including her role as a Director at Imperium Group, she brings considerable private wealth and fiduciary sector knowledge, and was formerly the Chair of the Guernsey Association of Trustees.
The board recruitment process, which started in September this year, will be completed in due course with the appointment of a third non-executive director.
