Broadlands Commercial welcomes new Property Surveyor

Broadlands Commercial has welcomed Evangeline ‘Evie’ Wills, the latest addition to their team.

Evie (pictured) is a key part of Broadland Commercial’s continued investment in providing an exceptional property experience for clients and occupiers.

Joining as a Property Surveyor, Evie brings not only a strong academic foundation and hands-on commercial experience but also a genuine enthusiasm for people, places, and property.

Her arrival further strengthens both, property management and agency teams – enhancing the service Broadlands Commercial provide across lettings, sales, and day-to-day asset management.

A journey from England to Jersey

Originally from England, Evie spent holidays visiting her grandparents and friends who already lived here. Like many before her, she quickly fell in love with the island’s pace of life, its sense of community, and its balance between professional opportunity and outdoor living.

Evie’s interest in property runs in the family. Her grandfather worked in the property industry, and his stories and experience inspired her to pursue a similar path. That early spark led her to study Real Estate at Oxford Brookes University, graduating in 2023 with a BSc (Hons). The course’s practical and industry-linked approach gave her a solid grounding in valuation, landlord and tenant law, investment, and development, as well as an understanding of how property markets function in practice.

Since graduating, Evie has gained valuable experience working across a range of commercial property instructions, helping clients manage and enhance their assets. Her early exposure to the sector has equipped her with strong technical understanding and a confident, client-focused mindset—qualities that make her an immediate asset to Broadlands.

A Role that bridges management and agency

Evie’s position spans both property management and agency, giving her a well-rounded view of the commercial property landscape. She works closely with Directors Guy and Nick, supporting them with lettings, sales, and client relations, while also managing day-to-day operations within the managed portfolio.

This crossover role is particularly valuable in Jersey’s dynamic commercial sector, where space is at a premium and every decision – from lease terms to maintenance planning – can influence long-term value. Evie’s joined-up perspective allows her to see how management decisions affect lettings, and vice versa, aligning perfectly with Broadlands’ holistic approach to property.

A people-centred approach

At its heart, commercial property is about people – owners, occupiers, and communities – and Evie instinctively understands this. Whether she’s talking through an operational issue with a tenant, welcoming a prospective occupier on a viewing, or updating a client on a marketing campaign, she brings a calm, approachable professionalism to every conversation.

Her genuine interest in others, clear communication, and follow-through help build trust and lasting relationships—something that is valued deeply at Broadlands.

Life beyond the office

Away from work, Evie leads an active and sociable life. She enjoys keeping fit, running with friends, and exploring Jersey’s coastlines and countryside—making the most of the island’s unique mix of natural beauty and community spirit. A keen cook and former chalet host, she loves bringing people together over food and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen when she has time.

Sport has always been a big part of her life too – hockey, netball, and skiing are particular favourites—and she enjoys the balance of teamwork and competition that they bring.

These personal interests reflect the same energy, balance, and people-focused attitude Evie brings to her professional role: driven, attentive, and always up for a challenge.

Looking ahead

Evie joins the team at an exciting time for Broadlands Commercial. Jersey’s commercial property market continues to evolve, shaped by changing workplace needs, new investment opportunities, and the island’s strong business community.

With Evie on board, Broadlands are even better equipped to:

  • Enhance property management standards
  • Deliver a responsive, proactive agency service
  • Strengthen client and occupier relationships
  • Explore new opportunities across Jersey’s growing commercial landscape
