Travellers passing through Jersey Airport this summer will enjoy an enhanced experience as the new No1 Lounge officially opens its doors.
The lounge offers premium comfort, service and design – while also celebrating Jersey talent, craftsmanship and produce.
The lounge is part of a broader multi-phase redevelopment project at Jersey Airport led by Ports of Jersey, aiming to modernise passenger facilities and reflect the island’s distinct character throughout the terminal.
Proudly made in Jersey
In support of the Island’s economy and skilled trades, the construction and fit-out of the No1 Lounge has involved more than a dozen local suppliers, spanning joinery, flooring, fire protection, decoration, and specialist kitchen equipment.
Local companies involved include: Heritage Joinery, TMRuanne, Keda Construction Services, Brady & Gallagher, TT Fire Protection, E McGarragle, MC Floors, TMB Painting and Decorating, Dwell, Jersey Deep Freeze, Catex, V&M Contract Tilers, Le Pelley, Channel Shutter & Door Co, JMCo, Normans, Romerils, Pentagon and Pebble.
“We’re incredibly proud to have worked with such a wide range of talented local suppliers,” said Rami El-Dahshan, Managing Director of No1 Lounges. “This lounge isn’t just built for Jersey – it’s built by Jersey.”
A taste of Jersey
The lounge experience is also enriched by partnerships with some of the island’s most celebrated producers. Guests will enjoy authentic local flavours thanks to La Mare Wine Estate, Jersey Skin, and Sea Level Eco Distillery – all of whom share a passion for sustainability and quality.
“We’re proud to be a local supplier for this exceptional new space,” said Tim Crowley, Managing Director of La Mare Wine Estate. “This collaboration allows us to share a true taste of Jersey with travellers, while reflecting our dedication to sustainability and innovation.”
Ben Martin, Director of Jersey Skin, added: “This partnership not only elevates the Jersey Airport experience but also proudly celebrates genuine Jersey products on a world-class stage.”
A spokesperson for Sea Level Eco Distillery said: “We’re thrilled to announce this exciting new partnership, bringing sustainable luxury and craft spirits to the forefront of the premium travel experience.”
“We’re focused on delivering an airport experience that is not only efficient, but also reflective of Jersey’s unique identity,” said Ashley Maggs, Airport Operations Director at Ports of Jersey. “The new lounge sets the tone for what’s to come – a modern, welcoming space built with care and community at its core.”
