The Institute of Directors in Guernsey has appointed four new members to its committee, adding representation from education, ESG & energy, construction and financial services.

Joining the committee are Dr Louise Misselke, Principal of The Guernsey Institute College; Alex Herschel, Chartered Environmentalist; Lindsey Hart, Group Commercial Director at The NP Group; and Barnaby Molloy, Deputy Chief Executive at Guernsey Finance.

IoD Guernsey Chair, Glen Tonks, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Louise, Alex, Lindsey and Barnaby to the committee. Their appointments bring new perspectives to the team at a time when the local business community is increasingly concerned about economic growth & productivity, education & skills and environmental resilience. They are all experienced leaders with strong track records and wide respect across their sectors.”

Their appointments reflect the IoD’s commitment to broadening its perspective and staying relevant to the full range of local business challenges impacting the island.

Dr Louise Misselke leads The Guernsey Institute College and is a long-standing advocate for technical and vocational education. Her work has supported curriculum reform and national apprenticeship development. She is widely published on education policy and regularly speaks at UK and international conferences.

She commented: “I’m pleased to join the IoD Committee and contribute to conversations around Guernsey’s future skills and workforce needs. The links between education, employers and policy have never been more important.”

Alex Herschel is a Chartered Environmentalist and Director of Sea Green Solutions Limited, a Guernsey-based environmental consultancy, with 28 years’ experience in ESG, energy, natural capital and climate change. Having previously held senior roles in government and the private sector, her focus is now on helping businesses and government to translate environmental and climate change risks and aspirations into realistic strategy and practical outcomes, and guiding developers through the environmental impact assessment and planning process.

Alex said: “It’s a privilege to support the IoD’s work in Guernsey. Climate and sustainability are now boardroom issues, and I’m looking forward to sharing practical insight with fellow members and supporting local leadership on these challenges.”

Lindsey Hart is a senior commercial leader with over a decade of experience in the construction sector. As Group Commercial Director at The NP Group, she oversees strategic procurement and supplier relationships. She is a past winner of the BMF Young Merchant Achiever award and holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.

Lindsey commented: “The construction sector is facing significant pressure, from cost to skills to supply chain. I’m keen to represent those voices at committee level and help the IoD reflect a broader mix of industries.”

Barnaby Molloy is Deputy Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance. His experience spans financial services, gaming, technology, the third sector and education, with a focus on marketing, strategy, governance, stakeholder engagement and business growth. Barnaby is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, he holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction and brings board-level insight through both executive and non-executive leadership roles.

He said: “The IoD plays a crucial role in bringing leaders together to shape Guernsey’s economic future. Joining the committee is an exciting opportunity to represent the island’s business community, enabling it to stay agile and responsive to emerging needs and ready to realise new opportunities in a changing world.”
