A new Restaurant Manager has been appointed at Tassili, Grand Jersey’s fine dining restaurant.
24 year-old Nicolas Marais has taken on the important role at the AA Five Star hotel and will be front of house at the fine dining restaurant which was recently awarded Four Rosettes.
Born in France, Nicolas is fluent in English and also speaks German. He has more than five years’ experience working in some of the most luxurious hotels and restaurants in Europe.
He will be working closely with Executive Chef Nicolas Valmagna and the Tassili culinary team to create and develop menus using quality seasonal and wherever possible, local produce. Nicolas will also focus on enhancing the restaurant’s already extensive wine list.
Commenting on his new role, Nicolas said: “The quality of the food, personalised service, presentation and the passion of the whole Tassili team is really superb and I’m looking forward to showcasing the outstanding dishes and really engaging with all the diners, while responding to their needs.
“I am also keen to enhance and develop Tassili as a destination restaurant, offering diners some unique experiences including wine and Champagne events and master classes.”
