Carey Olsen has announced the promotion of five lawyers across the firm’s Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey and London offices.
In Guernsey, Oliver Orton (Corporate) has been promoted to senior associate.
Oliver obtained a 2:1 in Law from Lancaster University, before completing the LPC in 2017. Oliver completed his training contract in Manchester, and joined Carey Olsen upon qualification in November 2020.
In Hong Kong, Yi Yang (Litigation) has been promoted to senior associate.
In Jersey, Sally Meggitt-Smith (pictured) and Stephen Parnell (both Corporate) have been promoted to senior associate.
Prior to joining Carey Olsen in February 2022 Sally trained in-house at a leading global asset manager where she specialised in corporate and commercial law before moving into funds. Sally studied Psychology at UCL and obtained an MSc in Human Rights from LSE before completing her law qualifications at BPP.
Stephen joined Carey Olsen in September 2022 having previously practised with another large offshore law firm in Jersey where he gained vast experience in the areas of finance and corporate M&A.
Stephen qualified as a solicitor in Ireland in 2019 and was admitted in England & Wales in 2020.
In London, Victoria Cure (Litigation) has been promoted to senior associate.
