The eagerly awaited Deloitte GNA Winter League recommenced on 17 September where 33 teams will compete across 4 divisions.
The Premier Division will once again be contested between three clubs, fielding two teams each. Divisions 1 and 2 have a great mix of social and older youth teams, all able to fight for the league title. Division 3 is split into developing younger players and youth taking part in their first league experience.
All teams will not only be looking to win their division titles but at the end of the season look to get into the cup final playoffs and finals scheduled on April 6th.
Following its successful partnership over the last two years, Deloitte will continue to sponsor the competition and the newly appointed Director of Netball (DoN), Sally Carns.
“I am really looking forward to joining the team as the new Director of Netball and can’t wait to get going with the players, coaches and volunteers. Netball is not just a sport; it’s a vital part of our community, bringing people together, fostering teamwork and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“Together, we’ll work to enhance opportunities for everyone, from grassroots to advanced levels, ensuring that netball continues to thrive and inspire the next generation. The passion and dedication within this community are truly inspiring and I look forward to contributing to the growth and success of the sport,’ said Sally.
Martin Popplewell, Director at Deloitte, said: “We are really excited to be supporting the league again this season and we’re eagerly anticipating the start of what promises to be another competitive year. Our partnership with the GNA reflects our commitment to fostering community spirit and encouraging active lifestyles.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with Sally, whose passion and vision align perfectly with our goals. Together, we aim to elevate the league to new heights and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.”
