Sure is powering up this year’s Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon as official Technology Partner, keeping spectators and participants connected while hundreds of people take on the 26.2 mile challenge.
Runners will be provided with timing chips fitted to their bibs, which will be connected to timing mats at the finish line, ensuring that race times can be recorded as accurately as possible.
Live start and finish times will be automatically uploaded to the Jersey Marathon website so that runners can see their result straight away.
Spectators can also share the best moments online and keep friends and family up to date thanks to Sure Wi-Fi in the marathon village.
Sure Chief Executive in Jersey, Paul Acton, said: “Taking part in a marathon, whether you are running the full stretch or completing a segment of it, is an incredible achievement.
“At Sure, we are big believers in having the tools to share big moments, and connecting the community during events like this where hundreds of people join together to share their commitment to sport and personal challenges.
“We’re very proud to be tech sponsor for this year’s Jersey Marathon and we wish everyone the best of luck on 6 October.”
