A local insurer is appealing for the return of a high value ring, lost in Jersey.

The diamond and sapphire ring was misplaced on 23rd February of this year in a taxi, and the owner of the ring is hopeful that it may have been picked up by a subsequent passenger, who did not realise its true value.

Anyone who might have come across this ring can return it without any repercussions, and there is no need to reveal their identity.

The distinctive ring features a single oval Ceylon sapphire, claw set. It is surrounded by fourteen brilliant cut diamonds, with an outer row of thirty tapered, baguette cut diamonds.

If you have found this ring, it can be handed into the front desk at the States of Jersey Police HQ on Route Du Fort between 8am and 8pm any day of the week. You are under no obligation to leave your details.

Insurers dealing with the case are also appealing to any jewellers who may have seen this ring, or who have been asked to value it, to contact the Police station with any information.
