Affinity Private Wealth and Highlands College have announced their partnership in sponsoring six fully funded Carbon Literacy courses throughout 2024.
This collaboration aims to foster sustainability, corporate citizenship, and environmental awareness across all sectors in Jersey.
Recognising the value of coming together to promote sustainability, Affinity Private Wealth and Highlands College are committed to supporting the growth of green skills and knowledge in the community. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, as well as the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on individual, community, and organisational levels.
Accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project, these courses offer participants the opportunity to become certified as ‘Carbon Literate’ upon successful completion.
This accreditation process involves personal and business-related commitments to decarbonisation, ensuring that learners have the knowledge and capacity to create positive shifts in response to climate change.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Highlands College to sponsor these Carbon Literacy courses”, said Russell Waite (pictured), Head of Sustainability at Affinity.
“By combining our resources and expertise, we believe we can make a significant impact in promoting sustainability and raising environmental awareness across all sectors of the Jersey economy.”
With a focus on providing relevant climate change learning for everyone, these fully funded Carbon Literacy courses aim to empower individuals and organisations to take meaningful action towards a more sustainable future.
