IQ-EQ, an investor services group, has announced Joanne McEnteggart as its new Global Head of Debt, Capital Markets and Corporate.
Debt, Capital Markets and Corporate (DCMC) is one of IQ-EQ’s three core service segments and Joanne (pictured) has been a leading force within the segment since joining the Group as a business development director in 2015. She was quick to make her mark and has held a number of senior leadership positions over the past few years, including Managing Director for Ireland, Head of Corporate for the UK and Ireland, and most recently Global Head of Corporate and Loan Servicing, which is a key division within DCMC. She also notably led the launch of IQ-EQ’s Irish funds business in 2021.
Based in Dublin, Joanne has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, including with Ireland’s largest insurance company, one of Ireland’s leading stockbrokers, and a ‘Big 4’ accounting firm, among others – during which time she has built up significant depth of expertise in corporate administration and debt/loan servicing. Before joining IQ-EQ, she was an executive director and held various senior-level roles within the asset services arm of a prominent international business process outsourcing and professional services company, now part of BCM Global.
Joanne has long-standing experience of acting as a company director in both an executive and non-executive capacity and acting as a board director on a number of client entities. She’s also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), an active member of both the Institute of Directors (IoD) Ireland and the Irish Debt Securities Association, and has served as Vice-Chair of the Ireland Canada Business Association since 2019.
In her new role, Joanne will lead the overall growth strategy of IQ-EQ’s DCMC segment and seek to develop new business opportunities across all areas of the debt, capital markets and corporate services space.
Commenting on Joanne’s elevation to segment head, IQ-EQ’s Group Chief Commercial Officer, Emma Crabtree, commented: “Our Debt, Capital Markets and Corporate segment has seen positive growth and development over the past year and remains a hugely important growth area for IQ-EQ in 2024 and beyond. I’m confident that with Joanne at its helm it’ll continue from strength to strength. Her tenure with the business, strong leadership skills, outstanding commercial acumen and exceptional sector expertise make her the natural choice for this important leadership position and I look forward to seeing how she drives the segment forward. Congratulations Joanne on this hugely well-deserved promotion.”
