A new family law firm has opened in Jersey aiming to provide a holistic approach to family disputes.
Myersons, on Broad Street, has been founded by advocate Victoria Myerson.
Advocate Myerson is joined by well-established local advocates Carly James and Celanne Scally. The trio worked together previously for more than seven years under the Appleby brand, where Advocate Myerson was a Partner.
The team set up Myersons to offer a highly specialised service for a full spectrum of clients, with particular expertise in larger and more complex proceedings and divorce.
Myersons offer professional services on all areas of family law including divorce and ancillary relief, pre and post nuptial agreements and emergency injunctive relief. They also look after matters involving children such as child maintenance, residence, leave to remove and contact disputes.
Advocate Victoria Myerson said: “We identified a gap in the market for a very specialised family law firm based on expertise and experience and delivering on complex cases. We are not a high-street firm, we are a boutique offering and our independence affords us the opportunity to work in a completely client focused way. Over my career, I have seen the stress and impact that family disputes can have on clients’ emotional and physical wellbeing and we are dedicated as a business to ensuring cases are dealt with efficiently and sensitively whilst encouraging clients to access therapeutic and wellness support as well. We are not fee focused, we are family focused and I strongly believe that we have the best team in the Island to help clients navigate their disputes.”
The firm says it has ingrained an ethos of wellness into its philosophy. The advocates encourage clients to seek counselling, engage in mindfulness and other health support services whilst working through their family cases.
The firm has been set up in discreet offices at 4 Broad Street; a central location for both clients and the courts.
