Jersey Electricity’s home electric vehicle charging solution has achieved national recognition at the EV industry’s annual ceremony.
‘Easycharge’ won the ‘Best Consumer Proposition’ award for the utility and energy sectors at the Electric Vehicle Innovation and Excellence Awards (EVies). The awards, which were held in London on 21 November, celebrate innovation and excellence in the emerging electric vehicle (EV) sector.
The EVies judging panel praised the ‘innovative product with an interesting bundle offering’ delivering ‘strong results over the past year, making Easycharge the clear winner.’
Jersey Electricity’s (JE) Director of Commercial Services Peter Cadiou said: “We are proud that Easycharge has been recognised at the EVie awards, particularly in such a strong category which included several, highly respected giants in the UK energy and utilities industries including Octopus Energy, OVO and Hive (British Gas). This award is testament to the innovative thinking of our product development team to support customers’ needs, the skills of our data, technology and finance specialists, and many others across the Company who contributed to the development of Easycharge.
“JE is focused on creating ground-breaking products and services that make it easier for customers to switch to electric – whether that is in the home or their transport. This part of our business is crucial to supporting the energy transition, meeting customers’ needs now, and in the future, as well as supporting the government’s Carbon Neutral Roadmap ambitions for a more sustainable Island.”
