Deloitte has renewed its sponsorship of the Deloitte GNA Winter League and the role of the Development Officer for the second year, continuing its support for netball on the island.
Following its successful partnership last year, the professional firm will continue to sponsor the role of the netball development officer.
Chair Anita Kilby said: “Netball is a great sport with a really exciting future, and without funding it makes it extremely hard to make our plans a reality.
“Last year, we secured sponsorship from Deloitte and a three-year sponsorship from Ravenscroft for GNA Coach the Coaches programme and the Ravenscroft GNA Future Panthers, which is the netball initiative for primary school children on the island.
“There are so many factors that contribute to us succeeding, and we are so pleased Deloitte and Ravenscroft are helping us grow the sport.”
Martin Popplewell from Deloitte. added: “The Deloitte Winter League is very popular amongst Guernsey’s many local netball players. We’re really pleased to play a part in growing netball on the island, increasing participation and keeping people active.”
The new season started on Tuesday 12th September at Beau Sejour.
