LV Care Group are sponsoring the award for this year’s ‘star’ Health and Social Care student at the P.R.I.D.E of Highlands Awards.
The Awards for graduating sixth formers will take place on Thursday 22nd June in the Concert Hall at Highlands College.
Along with recognising outstanding students across the range of courses offered, the P.R.I.D.E of Highlands Awards on 22nd June will also celebrate students’ dedication to Highlands’ values of Potential, Respect, Imagination, Diversity and Excellence.
The winner of the Excellence in Health and Social Care award will be selected from the 68 sixth-form students who are currently on the Highlands course of whom 14 were offered hands-on work experience through work placements with LV Care Group this year.
The prize will be presented by LV Care Group’s Head of HR Ceri Powell (pictured). Commenting on the awards, she said: “We are delighted to be supporting these awards which shine a light on those who stand out amongst the ‘Class of 2023’. This course is an excellent stepping-stone into a career in Health and Social Care and we congratulate all of this year’s graduates.”
Acknowledging the support from LV Group, Christine Gavey Head of Department for Health and Social Care said: “Highlands College value the input from LV Care in supporting our students to gain valuable work experience as part of their course at Highlands College. The experience gained strengthens their university applications or leads to offers of employment in many cases.
“We look forward to LV Group joining us to present this award and celebrating the achievements of our students as they graduate from Highlands.”
