Soroptimist International Jersey has announced that the Zumba Glow charity event is returning to Jersey again, this time with a ‘love yourself’ theme.
This year’s event, taking place on Saturday 18th March 2023, 14:00 – 15:30, at Le Rocquier School, is supported by Jersey Freemasons and will benefit Jersey Women’s Refuge (JWR) and Jersey Action Against Rape (JAAR).
Upon arrival Zumba goers will be asked to write one thing that they love about themselves on a post it note which will get stuck to the wall of the hall. It is hoped that everyone will leave feeling upbeat and positive about who they are.
Motion Z Zumba Glow will be led by renowned instructor Claudia, and friends, with everyone encouraged to dress joyfully and brightly. Glow make up will be available for a small donation and glow accessories will be available for purchase.
Graham Spence, Head of Jersey Freemasons, said: “Jersey Freemasons are thrilled to sponsor this brilliant event once again and provide our support to charities which work hard to ensure women’s rights in Jersey are protected. We hope everyone has a great time at the event.”
A spokeserson from JWR said: “We love this event. We see people of all ages coming to Zumba with us. At our event last year we had children as young as four dancing away for the whole event. It so important that we are encouraged to love ourselves from such a young age. We are once again grateful to the Jersey Freemasons for their support.”
A spokesperson from JAAR said: “We are thrilled to once again be partnering with the Soroptimists and JWR, raising money for our important causes, whilst having lots of fun with family and friends! A big thank you to the Jersey Freemans for their continued support of this awesome event. We can’t wait to get our glow on!”
